Mobola Fashola is an accomplished, purpose-driven senior executive with a distinguished career spanning business leadership, mortgage finance, technology systems, and institutional development. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Howard University, Washington, DC, USA, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She is also a Mortgage Loan Certified Professional (MLCP) and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) as well as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), credentials that reflect her strong blend of business acumen, financial expertise, and advanced technology competence.
She has excelled throughout her professional career in diverse leadership capacities, with a proven track record of year-after-year success in achieving revenue growth, profitability, and organizational expansion. Mobola is a pioneer member and Board Member of Nubian American Advanced College (NAAC), a Board Member of the Nubian Foundation, and serves as Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Institutional Development of the College. In January 2026, she assumed office as the Acting President of Nubian American Advanced College, where she continues to demonstrate strong leadership, governance, and strategic management across the institution’s ecosystem. Under her leadership, strategic partnerships have been successfully established, with several others currently in progress.
As Chairman of the Planning Committee for Johnson C. Smith University’s historic visit to Nigeria, she led a highly successful team effort and received an award for outstanding performance, further underscoring her capacity for high-level coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining NAAC, Mobola consulted for the Lagos State Government on housing and mortgage matters and served as a member of the LagosHOMS Committee, chaired by the Lagos State Governor, for two years. In 2014, she was appointed Executive Director, Operations at the Lagos State Mortgage Board (LagosHOMS), where she applied deep mortgage industry expertise to strategic planning, branding, policy formulation, and the establishment of robust operational processes and training frameworks.
Before relocating to Nigeria in 2012, Mobola was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of American Diversified Mortgage, a successful mortgage brokerage firm she founded in Maryland, USA, in 2004. She built the company from inception, collaborating with major financial institutions such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Countrywide Financial, and delivering a customer-focused model emphasizing competitive rates, low fees, and fast closings. This successful operating model was later adapted and implemented at the Lagos State Mortgage Board.
Her professional background also includes extensive experience in advanced computer systems and enterprise technology. She was a Senior Systems Engineer and pioneer staff member at Blackboard Inc., a leading global education technology company based in Washington, DC. Additionally, she worked as a Senior Systems Engineering contractor for several blue-chip organizations in the United States, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Espire Communications.
